The application process for the Jan Jancin Award requires completion of this online application form by the nominee following the submission via email of the required recommendation from a faculty member at the nominee’s law school. Please note that eligible applicants should be rising 2L and 3L students (2024 and 2025 class year). Completion of the application process for the Jan Jancin Award automatically qualifies the nominee for consideration for the AIPLA Past Presidents Award.
The required law school faculty recommendation must be emailed to JanJancinAward@DiversityInIPLaw.org by the faculty member of the law school making the nomination on behalf of the school. The required faculty recommendation must be no more than 500 words in length and must reflect personal knowledge of the nominee’s work. The faculty recommendation should be emailed from the faculty member’s law school email account. Only a single nominee from a law school will be considered.
This application form should be completed by the nominee. The nominee’s required essay (see below) can be uploaded at the end of this form or emailed separately to JanJancinAward@DiversityInIPLaw.org.
Before completing this nominee application form, the nominee should confirm that the nominee’s faculty member recommendation has been submitted via email.
